Board Styles

Warm artisan light on every board

100+ curated styles built for the way boards actually photograph: light wood and marble flat-lays for the overhead hero, dark rustic surfaces for party-size abundance boards, bright clean backdrops for shippable gift kits. Upload a phone photo from your own kitchen island and FoodShot fixes the warm indoor cast that turns cured meats grey — fat marbling back to ivory, soft cheese no longer waxy. One consistent look for your charcuterie business, no light kit required.

Builder Mode

Surface plus board plus spread equals done

Pick a surface — pale oak, white marble, dark stained timber. Choose a board or vessel — round walnut, long acacia paddle, slate slab, kraft gift box. Upload your photo and Builder Mode composites all three into one cohesive image, so the cluttered counter and the bad overhead bulb never make it into the frame. The difference between a snap of your kitchen and a product listing — from the same photo you already took.

My Styles

One look across your entire order form

Upload a photo of your best-looking board as a style reference. Every new board you shoot — a seasonal drop, a new price tier, a corporate grazing table, a shippable box — automatically matches that exact lighting, angle and mood. Small, medium and party-size stop looking like three different sellers and start looking like one product line, which is what makes a customer trust the jump from a $65 board to a $240 one. Add items to your order form without rebooking anything.

Perfect For

Every kind of charcuterie business

From a one-person kitchen doing five boards a week to a grazing stylist booking corporate events — FoodShot works from the photos you already take.

🧀

Home-Based Board Makers

Your whole storefront is an Instagram grid shot on a kitchen island under one warm ceiling bulb. Snap the board before it leaves the house, run it through FoodShot, and post an image that looks like it came from a studio instead of a countertop.

💐

Grazing Table Stylists

A grazing table business lives or dies on the portfolio shot sent with the quote. Shoot the setup in whatever light the venue gives — a marquee at dusk included — and attach an even, editorial spread.

🎁

Board Box & Kit Sellers

Shippable boxes are judged entirely on the packed shot. Show the compartments and the closed lid in clean bright light, so your charcuterie board packaging reads as a gift, not a grocery order.

📱

Instagram & DM Sellers

Most orders start as a DM about a photo someone saved. Consistent, well-lit boards make a grid worth saving from, and give you enough usable images to post through a whole season without reshooting the same board four times.

🥂

Corporate & Event Accounts

Office parties, client gifting and wedding receptions get booked from a quote deck. Professional images of a full grazing table for forty are what move you out of the informal-DM tier and into invoiced corporate work at a real price point.

🍂

Seasonal & Holiday Drops

Autumn figs, winter pomegranate, spring florals — the same base board can carry four seasonal launches a year. Restyle one shoot into every seasonal variation instead of rebuilding and re-photographing a board each time a promotion goes live.

No. FoodShot never sends a photographer, never runs an on-site or studio shoot, and never builds a board for you. It restyles the photos you take yourself. You build your real board, take a phone photo of it on your own counter, upload that photo, and FoodShot re-lights and re-stages that exact image — the same meats, the same cheeses, the same arrangement you actually made. Nothing is invented and no dish is fabricated from scratch, which matters when a customer receives the board and compares it to the picture that sold it. What changes is the lighting, the surface underneath and the background clutter, not the product. If a component is not on your board, it will not appear in your photo.

Almost every home kitchen is lit by warm tungsten or soft-white LED bulbs sitting somewhere around 2700K, and a phone camera compensates by pulling the whole scene cool. That correction lands hardest on the two colours charcuterie depends on: the rose-pink of prosciutto and the brick-red of salami both shift grey, and the ivory fat marbling that makes cured meat look expensive flattens into a dull uniform beige. Soft cheese suffers the same way and starts reading waxy rather than creamy. FoodShot rebuilds the lighting from scratch instead of nudging a white-balance slider, so the meat returns to its true colour, the fat separates back out as distinct marbling and the rind and paste of a soft cheese read as two different textures again.

You mostly do not need to fit the whole run in one frame. A grazing table business sells on two shots: one elevated three-quarter angle down the length of the table that lets the spread recede into soft focus and suggests scale, and one tight detail of the densest, most abundant section. Stand at one end, get as high as you safely can, and shoot down the line rather than across it. Then take three or four close details of the best-styled metres. FoodShot evens out the mixed lighting that venues throw at you — a bright window at one end and a dim corner at the other, or coloured uplighting bouncing off a marquee — so the near end and the far end of the same table look like they were shot under one light. Those images are what go into a quote deck.

Yes, and this is the single biggest time saver for a small charcuterie business. Build and photograph one strong base board, then use that same shot as the source for each seasonal recolour — a spring version with lighter florals and berries, an autumn version pushed toward fig and amber, a winter version with deep jewel tones and rich shadow. You are restyling the lighting and mood of the board you actually built, not inventing new ingredients, so the promotional images stay honest to what you sell. Most makers get a full year of seasonal posts out of three or four real board builds instead of rebuilding a board every time a holiday promotion goes live.

Shoot the box open, from almost directly above with the camera tilted very slightly forward so the compartment walls and the propped lid still read. Buyers of a shippable kit want to count what they are getting, so every compartment should be visible and nothing should be hidden behind the lid. Pack it exactly as it ships, including the filler and any twine or tag, and take the photo on the flattest, least distracting surface you have — a bare bench is fine, because the background is what FoodShot replaces. It is worth shooting the closed box as a second image too. Clean, bright, evenly lit packing shots are what make charcuterie board packaging read as a gift rather than as a grocery order.

Shoot every tier the same way and let the size difference be the only variable. Use the same camera height, the same angle and the same board material across all three, and keep the styling language identical — if the medium board has rosemary sprigs and edible flowers, the small one should too, just fewer of them. Then apply one saved style to all three so the lighting and colour match exactly. This matters commercially: a customer deciding between a small board and a party-size one is comparing two photos side by side, and if those photos look like they came from two different sellers the jump in price is much harder to justify. Consistency across tiers is what makes the expensive board look like more of the same good thing rather than a gamble.

Your boards deserve better photos.
